Former New Zealand test cricketer Adam Parore has climbed Mount Everest. The 40-year-old Parore, who played 78 tests and 179 one-day internationals as a wicketkeeper-batsman, reached the summit of the world s tallest mountain on Saturday, succeeding at his second attempt after previously being forced back by bad weather. Parore was accompanied to the summit by three guides, 10 Sherpas and seven other climbers on a commercial climb.
Adam Parore became the first international cricketer to achieve this feat.
